'HERB' is a  2m x 2m frame is portable hurling wall, allowing the coach use it for different skills & drills. Warm-Up's, striking drills, reaction drills and many more-all 100% with the ball.

Use 'HERB' for specific drills - hitting a target on the run, and controlling a ball on the run. Coaches, view our Video of the 'circuit-drill'-1 sliothar &10 players!

Specific match drills for players.Example- Full-Forwards. As this line usually play with their back to goal, this 'strike, turn & hit' drill works on 1st touch, close control, turning & striking instantly at goal. And working the goalkeeper! As 'HERB' rebounds the ball randomly, the player is forced to strike off both sides-left & right.

Playing with 'HERB' will refine your striking and 1st touch.

Tilt 'HERB', and catch the ball from a standing jump, from a leap. Play with a group of friends and compete for the high ball as it rebounds from 'HERB'.

'HERB' is versatile and suitable for 9 years+ so lots of classes and pupils can practice.

If the hurling field is away from the school and students require transport, use 'HERB' in the Hall or school yard, allowing the pupils practice at all times.At break times!

  • Test the students to strike a hit a target - 'HERB'.
  • Test the student to control the rebound-1st touch
  • Test the students with the 'HERB 1 Minute Challenge'

How many strikes can a student in 2nd class get? Keep a record, is she practicing, carry out the 'HERB 1 Minute Challenge' regularly, see the students improve their strike rate. Remember they are challenging themselves!!

For the senior classes, the Test can be between students/classes.

Paudie Butler, the GAA's National Hurling Director says, "inter-county players strike the ball approximately 50-60 times per minute and a player needs to have approximately 200 contacts with the ball per day".
